Ibaraki is a cornerstone of ACM’s Practitioners Board, having served both as co-chair and longtime member. He was instrumental in the establishment of the TechTalks Committee; overseeing the very successful TechTalks series (originally named Webinars). Ibaraki has served as chair of the ByteCast Committee and Professional Development Committee (PDC), and other leadership roles within ACM through the years. He has hosted hundreds of exclusive interviews with top industry and academic leaders who’ve shared their insights with the ACM community. He has served as a liaison between ACM and a vast network of elite CEOs, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and philanthropists.
As a co-founder of the UN “AI for Good” initiative, Ibaraki has helped create one of the world's largest AI innovation programs, showcasing AI solutions across the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. His invitation to ACM to be involved and contribute to this and other significant global technology fora has created new pathways towards fulfilling the part of ACM’s mission that calls for serving public interests.
